This case involved a motor vehicle accident where the plaintiff sustained minor foot trauma. However, over the next several months the client had complications as a result of the foot trauma in conjunction with preexisting diabetes. Ultimately the plaintiff’s leg had to be amputated below the knee. Causation of the ultimate amputation was vigorously litigated. Attorney Robert Zimmerman ultimately proved his case and on the eve of trial and the defendant settled for $2,400,000.
